Effectively displaying data is hard Sometimes it can be all-too-tempting to just dump the data you need to display into a table; the easy allure of a plain ol' rows-and-columns layout can be strong at timesAnd tables aren't always the right choice - but when they are, they often tend to be bland as heck, and put unnecessary cognitive load to parse themBut we, as devs, can do better with our tables. We owe it to our users to make our tables as good as they can beAnyway, here's an article I found interesting about how we can do exactly thathttps://lnkd.in/e4H3M77s #technology #data #tables #webdevelopment #developers #ux #ui

Taking on the Challenge: Data Platform UX redesignLet's take a closer look at some hurdles our clients tackled – who knows, it might just shed light on your data platform too!🗝 Create UX for Technical & Non-technical users. We had to make the client's application accessible for technical and non-technical users, so that they could work together and seamlessly on workflows.🎨 Redesign an outdated user interface. The app’s old UI was archaic and increased the app’s entry-threshold. That’s why our product designers had to redesign the data platform’s UI along with suggesting new features to boost its usability.🌀 Visualise data platform’s flows with a diagram. Client wanted to create the flows in the visual form of a diagram. However they struggled with using the GoJS library, so we backed them with our GoJS expertise. What difficulties are you facing? Feel free to share your thoughts. I'm here for a chat.P.S. Take a look on Before -> After for our client 😉 #DataPlatform #UserInterface #UXDesign #Redesign #ProductDesign #DataVisualization #DataFlows

There's no denying that the emergence of big data has tremendously altered the landscape of UX/UI design. By utilizing big data, designers can now make informed decisions driven by hard numbers, trends, and user behaviors, instead than basing solely on intuition. The fusion of big data and UX/UI design allows for a hyper-personalized user experience, reducing guesswork on user preference and enhancing overall product functionality. It eases the process of pinpointing user pain points and fine-tuning design interfaces accordingly, thus leading to improved customer satisfaction and businesses' growth. Turning big data into actionable insights could be complex, yet it's crucial in making user-centric design decisions. Breaking down the wall between data science and design, in fact, creates an opportunity, not a hindrance. In the end, successful UX/UI design is all about delivering the right experience at the right time, and big data plays a crucial role in achieving this!#UXUIDesign #BigData #DataDrivenDesign #UserExperience

Shane is raising a very valid point, which is that many designers simply execute per PM's spec and nothing more. With AI tools at our door now that will do that and more (mostly) correctly, using standard components and at a fraction of the cost, Designers must up-level their skills as a matter of some urgency. This means learning how to do effective storytelling, direct user engagement with generative research techniques and RITE, strategic innovation, inventions, and patents, and, most importantly, driving team alignment around shared vision and goals. I have written about this trend extensively at http://UXforAI.com, and I have my 6th book coming on this topic.

Data-driven design is a great approach for business and UX to collaborate together. The insights from Big Data bring a better knowledge of the users behavior. The trick is to have quality data and not stay analysing data for ever. Also it is needed to balance the quantitative data which tells you where the problem is with the qualitative data which tells the why of the problem.Be Kind and Collaborative.#design #ux #business #bigdata #quality #productdesign https://lnkd.in/eSYRckcV
